It is the island of the two faces. Firstly, the world famous lively and disco Ibiza and secondly the paradise Ibiza, seen from a different perspective, from the sea. We stayed with the second one.
We ship at sunset in a cove of crystalline waters south of the island and see the sunset from our sailboat.
We have no television on board but we do not want it either. Sunsets are our favorite nature series. We are hooked on it and do not miss it.
Es Vedrá y Es Vedranel, the magical islands. We sail in silence in order to hear the song of their sirens. Their impressive walls and energy engage us.
Conillera, Tagomago, Ses Margalides… stone islands and islets emerging from the sea.
And that sound of drums? It’s Sunday, we are in Benirras. The dances and djembes, bongos and darboukas greet the sun. They give him thanks for filling them every day with energy.
By land and by sea, what a privilege to get to know the island in this way!
San Josep, San Carles, San Rafael, Santa Gertrudis, beautiful inland villages, where it is very nice to sit on a terrace and have a cold beer.
Eivissa the walled city, Heritage of UNESCO. Strolling on its pavements, admire the views from the top, it’s like a trip in the time.
And before we go back home, we visit the market in Es Canar o Las Dalias. T-shirts, bracelets, handbags or any whim which helps us to remember the past deserved vacation in that small paradise called Ibiza.
